Automatic Driving Lessons

My aim is to make you into a safe and confident driver as quickly and cost-effectively. I recommend that you undertake an intensive programme of training. You should start with an initial two-hour assessment lesson. It is also a great opportunity for us to get to know one another.

Intensive Courses

You can save money by doing an intensive course over doing weekly lessons. You are likely to need less hours and you will pass your test more quickly; a win win.

18 hour course: 3 X 6 hour days: £780

3 x 6 hour training days, independent mock test, practical test.

24 hour course: 4 X 6 hour days: £1000

4 x 6 hour training days, independent mock test, practical test.

30 hour course: 5 X 6 hour days: £1230

5 x 6 hour training days, independent mock test, practical test.

36 hour course: 6 X 6 hour days: £1450

6 x 6 hour training days, independent mock test, practical test.

You will take your test on the final day of the course after some final training time to fine-tune your driving. You will be given a lift back home, to work or to the train station after your test.

To secure the dates for your course you will need to pay a deposit of £250. This deposit if non-refundable if less than 14 days notice is given. Payment for the deposit and the course balance can be made by credit card which will allow you to manage the payments over a period of time.

An Early Test Finder Fee - £18 - is added to the course price if a test is not available online for the end of the course

Custom courses

If an intensive course will not fit with your schedule then you can choose from the following:-

These are only available in the CT postcodes

Six-hour training day £225

Courses outside the CT postcode area

The intensive courses can be provided outside of the CT postcode area in other parts of Kent, Sussex and Essex. These may incur additional charges. Just call me for a quote.

Driving test preparation

No-one wants to fail a driving test. I will not recommend that you take a driving test until you are ready. Wheels in Motion mock driving tests give you experience of an authentic driving test and are run by independent driving instructors. In the event that you do not pass the mock test, we are able to fix any problems and hopefully get you passing the real test first time with as few driving faults as possible.

Independent Mock Driving Test

Get a realistic test experience with an independent driving instructor. Impartial feedback from a fresh pair of eyes can make all the difference. I get a detailed report allowing me to fix up any last minute issues.

Theory Test

It is best practice to get your theory test completed well in advance of  your practical test. You can find a practice test here on the web and you can book your theory test on-line. I am able to support clients who need help in preparing for this test.

On the day of the test ...

The majority of my students take advantage of my test day service. This includes a two hour lesson, use of the car during the test and a lift back home, to work, or the train station after the test. This provides some all-important confidence-building, fine-tuning and final preparation for your test. This is only available for Herne Bay and Canterbury test centres.

Test Day Service : from £135
(does not include practical driving test fee of £62)

The government is encouraging drivers who have recently passed their driving test to follow a Pass Plus programme. More details can be found here.

Pass Plus Programme: £225 (my car), £200 (your car)

Learner Driver Insurance
Practise in your family car with a family member is a great way to improve your chances of passing. The more time that you can spend on the road the better. Coupled with professional tuition this is the best way to become a safe driver.
